I’m really not exaggerating about this mail situation. What am I supposed to do with a diaper and two cans of baby formula?
You’re supposed to have a BABY, missy! So you can buy more things for it. Obviously.
Seriously tho – I know this is an old comic but that is so awful that you got sold out like that…:( I hope the mail flood calmed down eventually.
Don’t worry about wanting to be a mother because you’re a feminist! Feminism and babies aren’t enemies
I also want to say that I love this comic. The colors and facial expressions, everything is great.
I’ve always had trouble understanding how femanists believe that having children is somehow a form of oppression, while single mothers are held up as a standard to be achieved. My grandmother is fond of telling stories of the early femanists, those who marched for the right to vote. She was always saying that abortion and the state of single mothers were linked by one thing: Irresponsible men trying to turn a woman’s greatest power into something to be ashamed of. She’s buried two husbands and one of her own children, and remains one of the strongest women I’ve ever met.
the mail thing had happened to me before. i was getting my mail and it was really windy, the box-shipment door thign was open, and as i neared it the wind pushed it open strait into my lower stomach. i came back home a few minutes later yelling at my boyfriend Jake that “the mail wants my ovaries!” and happened again soon after with teh cry “the mail wants my ovaries agian!!”. Jake soon after broke the door off by accident and they have yet to fix it.
