Poop is funny. I bet in hindsight you’re glad you did a lot of pooping. Seems like your mom is also a fan of Joan Jet and the Runaways. BTW I love your comics, and I also bought your French Milk book and I can’t wait to read it.
HAHAHA! OMG, your candidness kills me! I think you are super brave and super awesome for sharing this story with us. It shows that you’re comfortable in your own skin enough to laugh at yourself and i love that about you. Strangely enough, i had a similar senario when i was a kid, except that it was wetting the bed xD. I used to go to sleep overs and wizz all over my friends floors when i slept. Laaame. It’s also really funny the things we remember haha
Oh man. The first panel cracks me UP! I want to frame it and send it to my mom, who goes through spurts of calling to ask if she is/was a terrible mother – so glad I’m not the only one who gets these phone calls!
This sure helped me cope with some sad childhood memories… It’s nice to know how both parents and kids are humans, and in the end many “weird happenings” are something average. It is scary how some grown up people turn crazy, because they actually blame themselves for something “bad” they did when they were little. Anything involving something “gross”, or whatever a kid may do, eating dirt from the pavement, or sleeping in the garden next to the totally muddy dog, or whatever else kids may come up with. It’s just human. This is not the end of the world. There is always some sort of bathroom or place to wash dirt away )
Your mum is awesome, even tough she lost it, she actually said sorry afterwards, and even remembers stuff like that, hoping she did not do anything bad All I know is my parents just slapping me whenever I did anything “bad”, and they even blamed me for that years later. Like a little kid could be “responsible” for breaking a glass or falling into a puddle. “Sorry sweetie” she says, that’s just so cool, your mom is a fine woman
Thank you so much for being brave/inspirational by telling us your tales in comic form. It’s great that you’re open enough to share this kind of thing, and really be comfortable with yourself :3 As someone mentioned earlier, it takes skill to make a tale about poop into a heartwarming story.
I wish my kids had your perspective–awesome!

I love that you’re reading archie comics, I would always read them on road trips.
I adore your comic, and how funny and insightful they are. Thank you <3
I may be seeing things, but are parts of this comic not hand-lettered?
A great comic, as always. Few folks can pull off anecdotal reflection with as much charm as you – they’re consistently engaging. Bravo!
I have to say, the panel where you say “sounds like me” whilst sliding back down in to bed..
..Well, it’s suggestive, that’s all. >_>
I don’t know how a comic about poop and angry yelling can be so charming and warming, but – it is!
Nope, they’re all hand-lettered. What parts look like a font?

Oh man, that car interior came out perfectly! Those are damn hard.

This is my absolute favorite SPA yet!
I peed my pants on first base when I was 8. (my next comic?).
